James Reilly (born 16 August 1955) is an Irish Fine Gael politician and medical doctor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Dr. James Reilly )〕 He is the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs since July 2014, and has also been deputy leader of Fine Gael since 2010. He was the Minister for Health from March 2011 to July 2014. Reilly has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin North constituency since the 2007 general election.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=James Reilly )〕 ==Personal life== Reilly graduated with a medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1979 and is a qualified General Practitioner.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Medical Council - Detailed Doctor Register )〕 Reilly was president of the Irish Medical Organisation prior to his election. He was appointed as party spokesperson on Health in 2007 and promoted to Deputy Leader in a reshuffle on 1 July 2010. He has worked as a GP in the North County Dublin area for the past 25 years, with surgeries formerly in Lusk and Donabate. In accordance with Standards in Public Office Regulations, Reilly no longer practices as a Medical Doctor in the Lusk Practice and the Interest/Management of that practice has transferred to another local Doctor from North Dublin.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=James Reilly )〕 Reilly owns Laughton House in Moneygall, County Offaly. The stately home is hired out for weddings and christenings, while Reilly also receives tax breaks for maintaining it.
